He was predeceased by: his parents, Wanda Milum Farmer and Acre John Farmer; his wife Carolyn Farmer; his son Terry Farmer II; and his sister Debbie Shadrick.

He is survived by: his daughter Carrie Atherton of Madisonville; and his grandchildren, Mary Chapman, Kayla Hall and Terry Farmer III. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
