Though Tommy may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Hillyard Cates and Walter A. Cates; and his siblings, Walter Neal Cates and Colleen Knight. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dunbar Cates; and his son Terry Cates (Shelley) of Madisonville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
