He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter South and Dorothy Choate South. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Kaye South; his children, Carla Kaye Ipock (Skyler) of Nebo, KY and Walter Eugene South, Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Della Wise of Clarksville, TN and Ruth Ann South of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Alex South of Nashville, Rhett Ipock and Alie Ipock of Nebo; and his nieces, Kelly Teague and Whitney Wise.
