It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wanda Lander of Madisonville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgia Mitchell Peyton and Samuel "Duck" Forrest Puryear; her husband James Joseph Lander; and her siblings, Janice Puryear Cardwell and Forrest "Buddy" Puryear.

She is survived by: her sons, Greg Lander, Dave Lander (Beverly) and Mitch Lander (Michelle); her brother William Darriel Puryear (Dorothy); and her grandchildren, Jessica Floyd (Chad), Elizabeth Cavanaugh (Tait), Kellie George (Annie), Samuel Lander (Shannon), Connor Lander and Cody Lander. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made Wanda's memory to the Door of Hope or the Christian Food Bank of Hopkins County.
