It is with sadness that the passing of William Nance of Madisonville, Kentucky is shared. William, born on September 5, 1951, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
William will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor William by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though William is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. William’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Nance and Wilma Mae "Betty" Phillips Nance; his children, Neal Nance and Natalie Nance; and his brothers, James Eden and Paul Wayne "Tudor" Nance.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Edwards Nance; and his children, Emily Nance (Dwayne Gossett) of Manitou, KY and Nathan Nance (Brittney) of Madisonville. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Madisonville Chapel (2285 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
