He was predeceased by : his parents, Ward Mercer and Antonette Angello Mercer; and his nephew Will Soens. He is survived by : his wife Kathleen Mercer (Burcar); his children, Tyler Mercer of Texas and Alexandria Burcar of Kentucky; his siblings, Christine Anderson (Bill) of Indiana, Carol Mercer of Florida and Wayne Mercer (Tootie) of Illinois; his granddaughters, Ariana Burcar and Antonina Mercer; and his nieces and nephews, Lanette, Tara, Kirk, Chuck, Shanon, Chad and Zac. He is also survived by nine great-nieces; nine great-nephews; nine great-great-nieces; six great-great-nephews.
