He is survived by: his wife Gladys Stewart Henson of Manchester; his children, Eddie Ray Henson (Melinda) of Manchester and Amanda Smith Wagers of Manchester; his sister Shirley Joyce Henson Combs of Hyden; his grandchildren, Landan Henson, Raelynn Smith, Addileigh Smith and Ryleigh Wagers; and his siblings, Louise Bryant, Debbie Henson and Herbert "Whitey" Henson.
