He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Etta Trent Wombles; his children, David Dwayne Wombles (Karen), Rhonda Hyde Smith, Katherine Denise Wombles Valentine, William David Wombles (Teresa Wombles Wells) and John Wiley Sibert; his grandchildren, William Tyler Valentine, Kelcie Logan Gregory (Jordan), Alexis Olivia Wombles, Lauren Blake Valentine (Zach Harris), Morgan Baylee Gorden (Shawn), C. J. Wombles (Amy), Macy Grubb (Tanner), Jonathon Wells and Chase Wells; and his siblings, Jenny Roberts, Tammy Powell, Ronnie Boggs, Jim Boggs and Roy Boggs. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
