With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doug Abner (Manchester, Kentucky), who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Doug may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doug touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Squire Bill and Beuna Abner (Brumley). He is survived by: his wife Linda Abner (Brown); his daughter Jennifer Cooney (Paul); his grandchildren, Luke Cooney (Lynnette), Drew Cooney (Robin), Cade Cooney and Cassidy West; and his great grandchildren, Alyss and Claire.
