He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dearner Ruth; his daughters, Lainie Ruth Miller and Jaimee Smith (Eric Smith); his daughter-in-law Barbara Marcum Ruth; and his grandchildren, Isaac Smith, Kylie Miller and Kanon Miller.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel (402 Richmond Rd, Manchester, KY 40962). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Bibles be sent in honor of Sonny Ruth through Gideons International.
