He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Jones and Dovie Jones; and his siblings, Marvin Jones, Carl Jones, Omer Jones Jr. and Edna Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Melondy Jones (Wayne) of Manchester and Karen Wagers (Scott) of London; his close friend April Hobbs; his siblings, Oscar Jones, Orville Jones, Orie Jones, Louie Jones, Geneva Jones, Mattie Jones and Bonnie Fultz; Miranda Sizemore, Victor Sizemore, Amira Sizemore and Alaina Hobbs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home (27 Old Hwy 421, Manchester, KY 40962). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with Melvin's funeral expenses.
