He was predeceased by: his parents, Miriam Dockins Higgs and Lester Freeman Higgs; his brother Larry Higgs; and his nephew Chad Higgs. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Winchel Higgs of Manitou; his daughters, Christy Hoagland (Benton) of Manitou, Dana Nance (Kevin) of Manitou and Jennifer Roberson (Jim) of Granite City, IL; his sisters, Brenda Gibson (Gary) of Corydon, KY and Diane Rone (Randall) of Ft. Wayne, IN; his grandchildren, Courtney Watts (Johnathon), Ashley Roberts (Mason), Austin Hoagland (Jaci Pike), Evan Hoagland and Kaylea Roberson; and his great grandchildren, Carter Watts and Charlie Roberts.
