He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Earl and Margaret Louise Cornwell Dempsey; and his sister Cathy Jo Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rita Dempsey; his children, Jeremy Dempsey (Rose) of Marion, KY, Seasonal Lawson (Larry) of Loogootee, IN and Wesley Dempsey (Kelly) of Murfreesboro, TN; and his grandchildren, Cody, Chase, Callie, Chloe, Bryleigh, Lakelyn, Jade, Barrett, Aryanna and Slade.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sturgis Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sturgis Baptist Church.
