He was predeceased by : his former life partner Betty Ray; and his parents, James A. Ray and Zema Ray. He is survived by : his wife Edna Ray of Marion, KY; his son Jamie Ray (Mary) of Providence, KY; his grandchildren, Zach Ray of Cadiz, KY and Adleigh Ray of Providence, KY; and his stepdaughter Lisa Beard of Marion, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home (117 W Bellville St, Marion, KY 42064). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
