She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Gillespie and Margie Gillespie; and her sisters, Carolyn Hinchee and Helen McConnell. She is survived by: her husband Hershel McDowell; her children, Wayne McDowell (Renae), Samantha Ogletree (David) and Rose Dempsey (Jermey); and her grandchildren, JW, Mary Sue, Dalton, Quaid, Haley and Mallory. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt Zion Cemetery (1850 Mt Zion Church Rd, Marion, KY 42064).
