He was predeceased by : his parents, Coy Odell and Mary Magdalene Morrison Coomer; his brother Dennis Odell Coomer; and his grandparents, Jessie Allen, Etter Burbridge Morrison, Johnny Roy "Buck" and Exie Parrish Coomer.

He is survived by : his wife Karron Norris Coomer of Marrowbone, KY; his children, Mickel Norris (Sheri) of Breeding, KY and Tammy Pruitt (Greg) of Marrowbone, KY; his sister Janice England of Columbia, KY; his grandchildren, Josh Norris, Cassie Dyer (Trevor), Zoey Morris, Gabby Sandlin (Dillon), Wesley Smith, Coy Pruitt and Maggie Pruitt; and his great grandchildren, Eliza, Genie Jo Smith, Chesney and Kori Anne Dyer.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
