It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Thomas Burke Sr. of Martin, Kentucky, born in Van, West Virginia, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Emory Burke and Bessie Goble Burke; and his siblings, Bill Burke, James Burkett, Everett Burkett Jr., Betty Compton and Ruby Keefer.

He is survived by : his wife Billie J. Ferrell Burke; his children, Donnie Thomas Burke Jr. (Traci) of Langley, KY, Vanessa Groneck of Bellevue, KY, Sabrina Boyd (Lee) of Allen, KY and Pamela Burke of Martin, KY; his brother Jay Burke of Pineville, KY; his grandchildren, Cody Boyd, Braxton Burke, Mary Groneck, Colin Boyd, Molly Boyd, Sarah Boyd and TeGhan Burke; and his great grandchildren, Ivy and Waylon Akers.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home (331 KY-122, Martin, KY 41649). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
