He is survived by: his wife Bernice Compton Yates; and his children, Edmund Yates (Donna) of Stanville, KY, Gabryel Stevens of Honaker, KY, Greta Lea Rupe (Terry), Shelia Lynn Boone (Daniel), Lisa Stevens of Huntington, WV and Sabrina Spriggs (Shane) of Pikeville, KY. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren & a host great grandchildren.
