We announce the death of Ocie Ousley of Martin, Kentucky, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 90. Ocie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Ocie will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Ocie will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Ocie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Otis Ousley; her parents, Steve Hamilton and Sarah Thornsbury Hamilton; and her siblings, Ira Hamilton and Ada Ruth Ousley.
She is survived by: her children, Otis Ousley Jr. (Rhonda) of Hueysville, KY, Sherlene Hall of Wise, VA and Rita Tackett (Rodney) of Prestonsburg, KY; and her nephews, Bobby Hamilton of Prestonsburg, KY, Steve of Inez, KY and Jack Ousley of Inez, KY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home (331 KY-122, Martin, KY 41649). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Hamilton Cemetery.
