She was predeceased by : her husband Jake Layne; her parents, Miles Feelie and Pearlie Patton; her daughter Glenda Kay Layne; and her siblings, Joe Ed Patton, Marie Hall and Patricia Davis.

She is survived by : her children, John P. Layne (Linda) of Martin, KY, Bert R. Layne (Gwen) of Lexington, KY, Kathy L. Burchett (Jack) of Pikeville, KY and Brenda J. Layne-Sharpe of Louisville, KY; and her siblings, Gary Patton, Cleffie Wooten, Martha Collins, Sally Bailey, Debbie Cecil, Barbara Goss, Patricia Price and Faye Baldridge. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren.
