She was predeceased by : her husband Victor Guge Smith; her children, Gail Spillman and Pat Smith; and her parents, Joe Thomas and Alecia Pauline McRee Hixon.

She is survived by : her granddaughters, Alecia Gail Spillman Cline (Andrew) of Simpsonville, KY and Anita Joe King (Shawn) of Richmond, KY; her sister Virginia Hixon Corbitt of Hermitage, TN; her son-in-law Bill Spillman of Wingo, KY; and her great grandchildren, Will Cline, Alex Cline, Elli Cline, Drew Cline, Sam King, Izzy Cline, Sydney King and Abby Cline.
