She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Simmons and Genevieve Smith Simmons; her husband Larry Jones Rives of Boaz, KY; and her brother Kerry Simmons. She is survived by: her brothers, Glenn Simmons of Camp Verde, AZ and Dwight Simmons of Lone Oak, KY; and her children, Ava Tomson (Rick) of Tolono, IL, Bruce Rives (Lisa) of Champaign, IL and Dana Hartwell of Jerseyville, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kentucky Sheriffs' Boys and Girls Ranch in Barbara's name.
