It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Jack Burkeen of Mayfield, Kentucky, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Aubrey Burkeen Sr. and Nellie Copeland Burkeen; his son Jerry Burkeen; his siblings, Billy Burkeen, Lurleen Ray and Helen Russelberg; and his nieces, Rhonda Brittian and Joy Cullen.

He is survived by : his wife Marion "Marilyn" Schumaker Burkeen; his son Jason Burkeen (Jessica) of Mayfield, KY; his siblings, Aubrey Burkeen Jr. of Mayfield, KY, Bobby Burkeen (Becky) of Mayfield, KY and Frances Scoggins (Neil) of Mayfield, KY; and his granddaughters, Abby Rust and Chloe Rust. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home - Mayfield (1223 W Broadway, Mayfield, KY 42066). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
