He was predeceased by: his wife Jerry Lou Mason Clapp; his daughter Polly Ann Clapp; his brother Macon G. Clapp; and his parents, Coy and Pauline Gossum Clapp.
He is survived by: his children, Mason Clapp (Brenda) of Wingo, KY and Penny Rowe (Jerry) of Pryorsburg, KY; and his grandchildren, Josh Clapp, Mitchell Rowe, Justin Clapp, Cody Rowe and Ja'Nae Puckett. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
