He was predeceased by: his brother Mike Mathis; and his parents, Paul Wade and Kittie Darnall Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Pam Mathis; his children, James Mathis of Mayfield, KY, Tracy Mathis Sinclair (Jerry) of Eddyville, KY and Tanya Mathis Whitney (Stanley) of Gallatin, TN; and his brother Terry Mathis (Linda) of Metropolis, IL. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
