Maxine Sapp Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2025, at the age of 85, Maxine Sapp (Mayslick, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Leslie and Irene Dillon Devon; her husband Harry Sapp; her grandson Justin; her son-in-law Barry Gifford; and her sister Carolyn Devon Cracraft.
She is survived by: her daughters, Leslie Gifford and Lori King; her son-in-law Clay King; her grandchildren, Keith Gifford and Jenny Wright (Nick); her great grandchildren, Barry, Grace and Ransom; her nieces, Beth Pendergraft, Kay Watts, Reba Schantz and Alice Caudill; her brother-in-law Tony Sapp; her cousins, Connie Dillon Diehl and Teresa Dillon Heckadon; and her great grandchildren, Carson, Cody King, Ryder Gifford and Justin Wright.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Palmer Funeral Home (5043 Main St, Mayslick, KY 41055). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maxine's name to the St. Patrick School playground fund in memory of her grandson, Justin Sapp. Contributions may also be made to Shannon Global Methodist Church, C/O Dick Clary 4065 KY 596, May's Lick, KY 41055.
