We announce the death of Phyllis Jean Moran (Mayslick, Kentucky), born in Georgetown, Ohio, who passed away on August 10, 2026, at the age of 59. Phyllis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Deborah Williams and Clarence Brooks (Larry Williams); her brothers, Ronald Brooks of Maysville and Butch Brooks of Fostoria, Ohio; and her close friends, Roberta Brooks, Brenda Morton and Michelle Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Clara Brooks, Jessica Brooks and Anthony Turner; her grandchildren, Ke'Ana Brooks, Labreya McLaurin, Tayvion Golsby, Rakiyah Brooks and Lashia Washington; and her brothers, William "Peanut" Brooks and Clarence "Boog" Brooks. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, extended family, friends.
In place of flowers a donation may be made to Palmer Funeral Home to help the family offset funeral expenses.
