He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzia Riggs and Juanita Gilbert Riggs; his wife Ruth Ellen Riggs; and his siblings, David Riggs, James Riggs, Judy Ruark and Mary Simmons.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bonnie Bradford (Bob), Ruth Ann Martin and Ricky Riggs; his stepson Michael Wheeler (Laura); his grandsons, Damion Wheeler and Caleb Wheeler; and his sister-in-law Darlene Brown. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
