He was predeceased by : his parents, Burdick Hampton and Allene Kilgore Hampton; his wife Evelyn Hampton; his son Arnold Hampton; and his siblings, Ronald, Burdick, James, William Hampton and Allene Hampton.

He is survived by : his children, David Hampton of Flemingsburg, Michelle Wiesen (Dalton) of Peebles, OH, Paula Wilson (Mark) of Mays Lick and Jack Hampton (Katelin) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Victoria, Lona, Hannah Hampton, Justin, Brandon Conley, Bethany Stidham (Logan), Ashleigh Spencer (Curtis) and Breanna Hampton; his sister Edna Dezarn (Ted); and his sister-in-law Pat Hampton. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
