He was predeceased by: his parents, Birdie M. Shires and Charles C. Shires; and his brother Rev. Robert A. Shires (Beth). He is survived by: his wife Robyn Dufty; his daughter Sarah Louise Shires; his stepson Matti Bek Pauli; and his sister Francis Kay Shires Phinney (late Bruce). He is also survived by nephews and one niece – and their children.
