He was predeceased by: his father Bruce Goodwin; and his siblings, Bruce Goodwin, Carol Ruth Caudill, Marie Sosby and Myron Joe Goodwin.

He is survived by: his daughter Gaye Lynn Litzinger (Christopher) of Maysville, KY; his grandchildren, Bradley Litzinger and Emily Litzinger; and his sisters, Florence Whitaker of Louisville, KY and Ottie Mulberry of Winchester, KY.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
