She was predeceased by : her parents, Hobert Reed and Nola Mae Fryman Reed; her brother Glenn Reed; her grandparents, John and Sadie Bayless Fryman; and her aunts and uncles, Julie Mae Pitts, Hattie Belle Myers, John D. Fryman and Walter Fryman.

She is survived by : her husband Kenneth "Kenny" Johnson; her daughters, Tammy Carpenter (Tommy) of Fayetteville and Beth Purcell (Jeffrey) of Maysville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Justin Carpenter, Nicole Carpenter, Aaron Johnson and Emily Mullikin; her great grandchildren, Matthew Thomas and Allison Carpenter; her siblings, Kathy Roberts (Rick), Wayne Reed (Brenda), Larry Reed, Billy Ray "Buck" Reed (Penny) and Bobby Gene Reed; her aunt Violet Whiteman (Arthur); and her cousin Sadie Purdin (Tim).

Memorial donations can be made to the funeral home to offset funeral costs.
