He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thompson and Virginia Mae Presley Thompson; his brothers, Gurney Thompson and Robert "Danger Boy" Thompson; and his nephews, Thomas Edward Riggs and Christopher Thompson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Thompson, Jerry Thompson (Angie), Wilma Morgan, Judy French (Allen) and Peggy Rose; and his pet Cinnamon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
