He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Wanda Smith; children: Karen Carney (Sam), the late Colin "Bruce" Smith (Rhonda), Melinda Allen (Bruce) and Kaylyn Heath (Tim); grandchildren: Ashley, Stephanie, Hannah, Brittany, Keri, Chelsey, Jacob, Heather, Brooke, Kourtney, Dustin and Finley; great-grandchildren: 21; siblings: Rosey Leach (Joe), Brenda Smothers, Charles Smith (Anna) and Gary Smith (Patricia); parents: Everett and Lethia (Ford) Smith; predeceased sibling: Wilma; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Owensboro Memorial Gardens (5050 KY-144, Owensboro, KY 42303).
