He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Daugherty Witt; and his parents, Frank Witt and Ophelia Rose Witt. He is survived by: his children, Michael Brian Witt (Kim), Jason Lee Witt (Melissa) and Trina Renee Mercer (DeWayne); his siblings, Connie Baker, Brenda Russell (Lonnie), Kathy Gabbard (Larry), Anthony Witt (Joy), Roger Witt (JoAnn) and Vicky McFerron (Mike); his grandchildren, Arikka Standafer, Lauren Moore (Lucas), Serena Witt and Addan Witt; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Daugherty (Donna), Clifton Daugherty (Kim), Rosetta Banks and Jennifer Hurt (Ben). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sand Gap Christian Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Witt Cemetery (1205 Hwy 1955 McKee, KY 40447).
