She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Carrier and Nellie Naylor Carrier; her former husband David Sears; her daughter Shelly Sue Sears; and her siblings, Gail Sears, Betty Joan Thompson, Danny Carrier, Roger Carrier and Larry Carrier.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Gerkey of McKinney; her sons, Edward Lee Sears (Shawnrey) of Liberty, David Vinnie Sears of McKinney and Jerry Shane Coleman of Stanford; her grandchildren, Terina Berry, Cody Sears, Tianna Sears, Makayla Durham and Gavin Coffman; and her great grandchildren, Kaeson Sowder, Tre Penman, Ryder Penman and Asher Sears.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Green River Pentecostal Church (7337 KY-698, Hustonville, KY 40437). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
