She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Parks and Helen Trusty Parks; her husband William Mayes; and her brother Ronald Parks. She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Mayes (George Cundiff) of Owingsville, Marsha Butler (Lonnie Spence) of Owingsville, Katie Mayes (Brandon Thompson) of Mt. Sterling, Stacey Mayes of Harlan, KY and Casey Mayes (Phillip Wireman) of Means, KY; her grandchildren, Kimberly, Danielle, Billy, George "Kenzie", Michaela, Anna, Shelbi, Gabe, Bentley, Abby, Hayden and Carson; her siblings, Betty Myers (Jess), Anita Notestine (Les), Tonya Shope (David), George Parks (Nancy), Fred Parks (Dorothy) and James Parks (Eva); and her sister-in-law Brenda Parks. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freewill Pentecostal Church (6291 Hwy 460 W, Frenchburg, KY 40322). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
