With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nona Compton of Means, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Sapp and Martha Sapp; and her husband Virgil Lee Compton. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Lee Compton, Rusty Lee Compton (Teawanda) and Donna Joyce Compton (Timothy Curtis); her sister Martha McCarty; and her grandchildren, Shelby Saylor, Mason Compton, Anthony Compton, Kadien Compton, Nicholas Compton, Renee Henderson, Michelle Staton, Dudley Willoughby, Rusty Compton Jr., Samantha White, Jacob Compton and Dakota Compton. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Home (121 E Main St, Owingsville, KY 40360). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
