Zelda Lou Counts Obituary
We announce the death of Zelda Lou Counts of Melber, Kentucky, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 96. Zelda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin'Roy'Counts Jr.; her sons, Mike Counts and Mark Counts; her siblings, Judy Bufford and Ralph Younker; and her parents, Jimmy Younker and Eleanor Winquist Younker.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Lexi Counts of Romulus and Kyle Counts of Wayne, Michigan; her great grandchildren, Julian Smith and Caroline Counts; her sister-in-law Betsy Younker of Louisville, Kentucky; and her caregiver Lauren Smock. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
