She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Dusing and LaVerne Dusing (Martin); her siblings, Mary Jo Shively, Sharon Crawford and David Dusing; her in-laws, Rita and Lloyd Smith; and her brother David Amos.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph E. Smith; her daughters, Autumn Reyes (Sergio) and Heidi Smith-Rider; her stepmother Marianne Dusing; her grandchildren, Markus Reyes, Sydney Smith of Alexis, S. J. and Corbin Rider; her siblings, Philip, Mark Dusing (Jennifer), Kathy Goecke (Jay), Judy Gibson (Roy), Susie Hopkins, Gina Amos and Jennifer Taylor (J. T.); and her close friends, Salli Scales and Susie Mueller. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
