In loving memory of Alfred D. Shepherd of Middlesboro, Kentucky, who departed this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 91. Alfred D. leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shepherd and Ollie Adams Shepherd; his wife Mable Shepherd; his children, Henry Shepherd (Tommy) and Martha Shepherd (Jeannie); his grandson Anthony Sexton (Shane); and his siblings, Doc Shepherd, Jackie Shepherd, Albert Shepherd, Dorothy Cline, John Henry Shepherd and Annie Deeb.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara (Sam Hall) of Tazewell, TN; his sister Susie Mabe of Fort Waye, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kristin (Bradley Carroll) of Speedwell, TN, Tommy Lee (Andrea Shepherd) of Middlesboro, KY, Angel Broadwell of London, KY, Jessica Kimberlin of North Platte, NE and Shawn Shepherd of Middlesboro, KY; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Kinsley Carroll, Henry Michael Shepherd and June Hupfer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Cawood Funeral Home Chapel (112 S 21st St, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Green Hills Memorial Gardens (1805 State Hwy 441, Middlesboro, KY 40965).
