He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Prater and Rose Brown Prater; and his siblings, Jim Prater, Elmer Prater, Jack Prater, Herb Prater, Little Ed Prater, Frankin, Delano Prater, Josephine Duncan (Arnold) and Jean Bennett (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Gerri Prater; his children, John Prater and Faith Shingler (Bill); his grandchildren, Kayla and Justin Prater; his great grandchild Wesley Miller; his sisters, Ann Cunningham (Alva) and Lavenda Sue Carrol; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Prater, Ruth Prater and Sue Prater. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
