He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Bayless and Channie Bayless; his siblings, Kenneth Dan Bayless, Robert Bayless, Linda Cosby and Nancy Warwick; and his grandson Caleb Bayless.

He is survived by : his wife Ruby Bayless; his sons, Todd Bayless (Ladassa) and Shaun Bayless; his grandchild Case Bayless; and his siblings, Dennis Bayless, Alan Bayless, James Bayless, Emily Hunley and Willena Metcalf.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens (1805 State Hwy 441, Middlesboro, KY 40965).
