She was predeceased by : her parents, Creed Barnett Sr. and Beatrice Evans Barnett; and her husband Donald Rose, Sr.. She is survived by : her children, Donald Ray Rose, Jr. (Laura), Darwin Shane Rose (Charity) and Meggan Rachelle Rose; her grandchildren, Andrea Rose, Angela Rose, Kayla Jones (Andrew), Aaron Rose, Jamie Rose, Montana Kelly (Brandon), Jennifer Rose and Jacob Rose; her great grandchild Emily Rose; her nephews, Jimmy Jones and David Styer; and her close friend Betty Barnett (Colin).

“Dovie was my special friend all through high school. Although I didn't stay in contact. She reminded in my heart all this years. So sad for her family. I'll always remember the good time at the old store and fruit market where we all gathered and sang and had our girl talks.”
