We announce the death of Edna Carpenter of Middlesboro, Kentucky, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Leach and Etta Jane Leach. She is survived by: her siblings, Hayes Leach, Clyde Leach, Reverend Conley Leach, Andy Leach, Carl Leach, Kearney Leach, Sherman Leach, Earl Leach, Mary Turner and Edith Bratley; her daughters, Teresa and Ernestine; her grandchildren, Blake Carpenter, Brittany Gregory (Matt), Holden Buttery, Caleb Mills, Lindsey (John Hughs), Michael Mills and Joe Mills; her great grandchildren, Landon Gregory, Ella Gregory, Blake Mills, Caleb Mills, Lincoln Mills and Chloe Mills; her cousin Mildred Russell; and her pet Whiskey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at the Oakview-Yeary Cemetery.
