He is survived by: his wife Mary Whalen; his daughter Janine Balsis (Michael) of Mission Viejo, CA.; his stepchildren, Sherry Jordan of Johnson City, TN. and Billy Kelly (Suzy) of Harrogate, TN.; and his grandchildren, Evan, Elliott, Emilee Balsis of Mission Viejo, CA., Wilson, Ben Riley of Johnson City, TN., Billie, Tyler Kelly of Harrogate, TN., Dean, Jack and Luke of Johnson City, TN.. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (31 Hurst Rd, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens (1805 State Hwy 441, Middlesboro, KY 40965).
