He is survived by: his wife Edna Collins; his daughters, Shela Collins and Alicia Thompson (Steve); his stepdaughters, Donna Gibson, Rhonda Baker (Billy), Marcia Reynolds, Patricia Gibson and Mary Napier; his grandchildren, Heather Johnson, Katrina Ritchey (Joshua) and Nick Wilson; his stepgrandchildren, Dakota, Faith, Austin, David, Kayla, Joey, Nathan and John; his great grandchildren, Joshua and Gabe; and his caregiver Teresa.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Shumate Funeral Home (2321 W Cumberland Ave, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens (1805 State Hwy 441, Middlesboro, KY 40965).
