He is survived by: his wife Betty Prater; his sons, Tim Prater (Wendy) and Mark Prater (Tammy); his grandchildren, Makenzie Minor (Peyton), Megan Barton (Seth), Brandyn Barnett Prater, Makayla Uhl (Chase), Nathaniel Prater (Makayla), Josiah Prater and Amelia Prater; his great grandchildren, Bentlee, Ian, Sawyer, Mia, Henry, Wiley and Atlas; and his close friend Wilburn Guy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garmendia Baptist Church N. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM.
