It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Taylor (Middlesboro, Kentucky), who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Taylor and Sarah Taylor; his wife Edith Cupp Taylor; and his siblings, Hubert, Ray, Arles, C. B. and Locy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Walter Taylor (Frances), Luther Taylor (Maggie), Aggie Vanover, Rosie Tibbets and Josie Saylor (Grant); his children, Sherri Grove of Flat Rock, MI, Rhonda Hannah (Ray) of Morristown, TN, Kim Baker (Steve) of Miracle, KY and Brian Taylor of Ocklawaha, FL; his grandchildren, David Grove (Nicole), Jennifer Doute (Jerry), Patrick Grove (Amanda), Jamie Meola (Philip), Renee Rubin (Eric), Travis Weatherholt (Brittany), Nicole Alexandre (Mac), Scottie Goebbel (Melissa), Chuck Goebbel and Sarah Goebbel; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Elena Grove, Jaylah Crain, Cameron Doute, Lucas, Avery Taylor Meola, Sophie Rubin, Payson, Easton Weatherholt, Reece, Riella Alexandre, Charlotte, Trypp, Isabelle, Tobias Roy Goebbel, Hunter, Robert Goebbel and Savannah Abrams.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Cawood Funeral Home (112 S 21st St, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
