It is with sadness that the passing of Matthew Scott Rankin (Midway, Kentucky) is shared. Matthew, born on October 8, 1996 in Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ronald, Jane Trayner and Robert Puckett. He is survived by: his parents, Michael Rankin and Rhonda Rankin; his brother Zachary Rankin (Jennifer); his niece Lily Rankin; his nephew Luke Rankin; his brother Hayden Rankin (Briana); his grandmother Helen Puckett; his aunt Debbie Trayner Price (Jimmy); his cousin Chad Trayner (Sara); his uncle Bob Rankin; and his aunt Debbie Rankin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elkhorn Baptist Church (480 Duckers Rd, Midway, KY 40347). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
